Open Positions at PI4: Hiwi & Bachelor/Master Theses

PhD student of our institute finishes Ironman 2018 in Hawaii with a great result


Our PhD student Joachim Krauth participated this weekend at the IRONMAN World Championship in Hawaii. He finished 11th in his age group and 139th out of 2.306 overall with a fantastic time of 9:05:27. In the running he even scored 3rd in his group! Joachim, YOU ARE AN IRONMAN! We are so proud of you!

IQST Photo Competition 3rd Place


Our postdoc Dr. Dominik Floess won a prize at the IQST Photo Contest with our student Elinor Kath at the microscope.

Campus Run 2018


Our institute members Joachim Krauth and Mario Hentschel finished 1st and 3rd at the 12 km University Campus Run at T > 30°C.

SCoPE Volleyball Tournament


We participated in the SCoPE beach volleyball tournament with 3 teams ("Sometimes Dangerous", "Mostly Harmless", "Nanoskills")

Olympic medal winners at Seoul airport


On his way to Sydney, Harald met the gold medal winners of the Nordic Combination in the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in the lounge at Seoul airport right before their trip back to Germany.
