Prof. Dr. Nader Engheta (University of Pennsylvania) received an honorary doctorate of the University of Stuttgart. Beforehand, however, he had to master a special exam at the 4th Physics Institute.

On Friday, November 18, Prof. Dr. Nader Engheta (University of Pennsylvania) will speak about Low-Index Photonics. Prof. Engheta will be awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Stuttgart. His talk takes place in the Jürgen-Kuhl-Library of the 4th Physics Institute (Pfaffenwaldring 57, room 4.342) at 10:00. (announcement)

Our postdoc and former PhD student Timo Gissibl receives the 2015 DGaO Young Scientist Award by the "Deutsche Gesellschaft für angewandte Optik" for his dissertation on 3D printed optics. Congratulations!
