" (5000 EUR) for the best PhD thesis in 2013. Next to him is Dr. Volkmar Denner, CEO of Bosch, and alumnus of the Stuttgart Physics Institute. Congratulations!

Special Lecture Series
We welcome back our guest professor Prof. Dr. Ronald Griessen
from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Prof. Griessen will give a special lecture series
entitled "Hydrogenography: Shedding light on Switchable Metal-hydride Mirrors" at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research. The lectures take place on Monday, 19 May 2014 (10:00 - 12:00 and 14:00 - 16:00) in room 5H7.

from the Hebrew University Jerusalem gave a talk on "Cold Dipolar Exciton Fluids on a Chip: From Quantum Many-Body Physics to Multi-Functional Circuitry".
Our former PhD student and postdoc Dr. Na Liu
(now leader of the research group Smart Nanoplasmonics
at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems) received a Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Prize
(20,000 €) from the DFG. Congratulations!
